BOOKING THE ONLINE MEETING

Please book a convenient time for the online meeting between the client, one of our specialist estate planning lawyers and yourself via the NowInfinity collaboration page.

Once View Legal has finalised the booking, you will receive a calendar invite which will include the details of how to join the meeting. Please accept this invite and note you will not receive a separate email with the meeting details.

PREPARING FOR THE ONLINE MEETING

The time allocated to each meeting will depend on the service level chosen in accordance with our estate planning solutions.  A summary of our adviser facilitated estate planning solutions can be found here

For all meetings, please ensure both you and the client:
1. launch the online meeting software at least 10 minutes before the meeting starts, to ensure you can access the screen sharing technology in addition to being involved in the teleconference – if you would like to schedule a test online meeting to trial the software, please let us know; and

2. are available to attend the meeting for the entire meeting time.

For all meetings, please ensure both you and the client:
1. have carefully read through the estate planning documents before the online meeting so that you are each familiar with their contents;
2. have watched the relevant video below so that you each understand the key concepts that we will be discussing during the meeting (this is compulsory for Entry packages):
a. testamentary trusts included; or
b. no testamentary trusts included.

CANCELLING OR RE-SCHEDULING AN ONLINE MEETING

If a booked meeting needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, please go to the NowInfinity collaboration page and select ‘cancel meeting’ and then reschedule a new meeting by selecting ‘create meeting’. Do not click the cancel or reschedule button in the confirmation and reminder emails sent by Calendly as this will not integrate with NowInfinity. If you have any questions, please contact us at solutions@viewlegal.com.au or 1300 843 900, and one of our team will be able to assist you.

CONTACTING VIEW LEGAL BY EMAIL

We strongly suggest that all communication be sent to our central inbox at solutions@viewlegal.com.au so that the best placed team member can action your request as soon possible. The online meeting lawyer can be copied in, as necessary.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE

1. Please ask the client to carefully review the draft documents and advise us of any changes, if possible, before the online meeting, so that the most up to date and relevant documents can be explained in our online meeting.

The client is welcome to sign the draft will and power of attorney documents we provided before the online meeting if they are comfortable with the documents.

2. For Entry packages, it is compulsory to watch the 20-minute online education course prior to the online meeting. For Compliance, Comprehensive and Concierge packages, viewing is recommended, however optional.

There are two links (i.e two different online education courses) one for non-testamentary trust submissions and the other for testamentary trusts, these are linked above.

3. Please note that if a couple package is selected, it is critical that both clients attend the online meeting so that we can issue our independent advice certificate for your file.  However, if the clients would prefer to have separate online meetings, we can confirm a separate scope of work and fixed pricing.

4. The online meeting with the client is necessary so that we can issue our independent advice certificate for your file (confirming that View Legal has provided all legal advice not the advisers firm) and determine that the documents are appropriate for the clients’ circumstances.

5. We confirm that you and the clients can join the online meeting from different locations by using the unique Zoom link provided to you.
