Ability to change the name of a unit trust is available with the ‘Change of Name’ form. This document is available along the top of the main Trust profile screen. When you click on this button, you will be redirected to the webform in relation to this document.
The webform is automatically pre-filled with data that has previously been imported or entered into the Trust register profile. If the trust ready reckoner is at 100% for the Trust in the main trust profile screen, then all information required is pre-populated on this form, except for the ‘new name of trust’& ‘change of name’ clause.
Once the ‘Change of Name’ documents have been signed by the client, you will need to either change the status on the collaboration page (‘Paper signing’ option) or on the Trust Profile (Mark as Signed’ options).
The ‘Change of Name document’ will also be displayed in ‘recent documents’ as well as on the ‘timeline’ of the trust.
